Blurb from Goodreads:Mia is torn between two guys—and two worlds—in this epic, romantic fantasy.
Mysterious lights have flickered above Crownsville for as long as Mia can remember. And as far as she’s concerned, that’s about the only interesting thing to happen in her small town.
That is, until Sol arrives. Mia’s not one to fall for just any guy, but she can’t get Sol—or the brilliant tattoo on his back—out of her mind.
Then Mia’s brother goes missing, and Mia’s convinced that Sol knows more than he’s sharing. But getting closer to Sol means reevaluating everything Mia once believed to be true. Because Sol’s not who Mia thought he was—and neither is she.
Review: So this book was definitely entertaining but I was totally mislead by the cover and blurb and ended up reading a type book I usually don't read. So I mean let's face it from the cover and blurb how many of you jumped to the conclusion that this was a paranormal romance where the male lead has some sort of secret is insanely attracted to our plain yet very desired and in some way shape or form special heroine. They the have to fight to be together or something is tearing them apart or something on that level. don't get me wrong I love those books but this is not that type of book. It's a sci-fi adventure with probably like what three kisses throughout the entire 500 pages? Also THERE IS NO LOVE TRIANGLE past chapter five. Like seriously the reason it took me so long to read this book is because i was like ugh love triangle. But no there isn't even one. Now that aside I was a little out of my league reading this book but it was still pretty great.
Mia was a great heroine even though she really wasn't all that bright. She kept jumping into battles when she barely knew how to hold a sword. I mean sure you can argue its brave but let's face it its pretty stupid. She did have redeeming qualities. She was loyal and she never gave up and she fought for those she loved. She was also pretty forgiving even if it took her a while.
Sol.. well he was pretty hot but I couldn't really say he was swoon worthy but let me tell you he is a great warrior. And well yeah no insta-love either pretty slow building relationship.
There was definitely plot and action in this book a bit too much action for my taste but then again I blame the blurb.
I give this book
Sometimes, it happens to me too. I buy some books because of the cover then later end up reading books that are not my type.. nice review. :)
