Look at the world a little differently =)

Hey guys so I saw this video and  I couldn't hold  back from posting it.
Living in the world we live today you can't help but lose faith in humanity, I mean you have people stealing, abusing, ignoring those in need and just being selfish. Well cheer up it isn't all bad. There are still genuinely good people who we think don't exist.  The world still has hope and if you don't believe me watch the video. Even if it doesn't convince you it will put a smile on your face =)

What do you think? Is there hope for mankind?

The Ballad of Aramei (The Darkwoods Trilogy 3) by J.A. Redmerski

Title: The Ballad of Aramei (Darkwoods Trilogy 3)
Author: J.A. Redmerski
Published: November 18, 2012 by J.A. Redmerski
Kindle Edition

Blurb from Goodreads: Everything about Adria Dawson’s life has changed in unimaginable ways: the shattering betrayal of her mother, the fight for her life and sanity…the loss of her humanity. But now Adria must face the ultimate challenge and risk not only her life, but the lives of everyone she loves at the wrathful hands of Isaac Mayfair’s father.

Determined to help unravel a mysterious message deeply rooted in an unhinged mind, Adria becomes obsessed with traveling into Aramei’s turbulent past to see the truth of how the relationships and betrayals between the Mayfair and Vargas bloodlines were formed.

Meanwhile, Adria and the Mayfairs are doing everything they can to smoke out and trap the Praverian traitor. A trip to Providence uncovers not only an old family line who are enemies of the Praverians, but also raises questions about the Praverian’s true agenda.

But the traitor will be caught. People will die. And Adria’s destiny to be the cause of a war will come to pass. But what could a kind and simple girl like Adria Dawson ever do that could be considered an act of war? The landscape of the werewolf world will be forever changed in the climactic conclusion to The Darkwoods Trilogy.

Review: I am a huge fan of this series and I have been waiting literally forever for this book to come out. When I saw that it was released early (as an accident on the part of Amazon and BN.com) I jumped with joy. This book did not disappoint. It was a captivating, heart wrenching edge of your seat read that had me crying and laughing and tearing out my hair all the same time. ( yeah I didn't think that was possible until I read this book either.)
This book picks up right where Kindred left off. Adria is getting used to her life as a werewolf but of course things are never calm for Adria and Isaac and Isaac's scary as hell alpha werewolf dad decided he's going to use Adria to communicate with Aramei even if it puts Adria at risk.
Adria becomes a lot more mature in this book. After the prophecy in the last book saying she will start a war Adria becomes a lot more responsible.  She makes certain choices for the better of others and then puts herself last. She faced a lot in this book. There were so many curve-balls being thrown at this girl I just wanted to give her a hug. She was a great character. She was smart, calculated, she wasn't  overly naive, she definitely wasn't a Mary Sue type of heroine and she wasn't the I'll do exactly opposite of what my  more experienced, better trained boyfriend tells me to do just because I'm an independent woman. She knew what battles to fight and when to step down. I loved her as a heroine and I was so happy when she got her happily ever after.
Isaac. Oh how I missed my clever, hot, alpha, corny, scarier then hell when pissed off , did I say hot? werewolf. Isaac was perfect in this finale. He had his own demons to fight and decisions to make and I loved how he put Adria first. She was his everything. He stood up to his dad for her. That takes guts. And before you go all it's just his dad how bad can he be? Read this book then come talk to me. His dad is SCARY. Like if that was my father I don't think I would be able to make eye-contact and I definitely wouldn't be able to have a  conversation heck I would be scared to breathe in his presence. So back on track when he stood up to his dad I was all like Isaac be my husband you are perfect.
The plot was amazing. There were so many twists and turns and so many shocking reveals I don't  think my jaw ever left the floor. It was intense and emotional and this one scene almost had me crying.
Basically go get this book and if you haven't read the other two then why are you still here. Go pick up Mayfair Moon and Kindred. Like now.

    I give this stunning finale

The Light Tamer (The Light Tamer 1) by Devyn Dawson

Title: The Light Tamer (The Light Tamer 1)
Author: Devyn Dawson
Published: April 14th. 2012 by CreateSpace
Number of Pages: 218

Blurb from Goodreads: Jessie's moved from New York to North Carolina one week after school lets out for summer break. Being a teen in a retirement area, is one more thing to add to her 'this sucks' list. It's bad enough to have to move, but even worse her alcoholic father left them as he went on a quest to be an artist in Greece.

Things begin to look up when she is reintroduced to Caleb, the dorky boy that saved her life one summer at the beach. Caleb is no longer scrawny and nerdy, he is now tall, dark and handsome. Caleb is a Light Tamer. Now, Jessie and Caleb must learn how to control the light...before they lose each other forever.

Jessie and Amber become fast friends. Amber is a no frills girl, her snarky comments and sassy attitude will raise a few eyebrows and have you laughing out loud. Amber is rough around the edges, a light tamer with only two years left to find the one she is bound to. Her father's surfing accident left her dad paralyzed and her brother dead.

This paranormal romance will keep you on the edge of your seat with humor, romance, and determination. Fall head over heels for Caleb and Jessie.

Review: This book was great but it was rather simple and uncomplicated. So I'm going to make my review short and sweet.
This is a typical paranormal romance book. If you're into chick-lit then this is the book for you. It's a sweet lovey dovey gooey kind of a romance. Now don't get me wrong there is definitely plot to this novel, but this isn't the kind of book where its all like action, sizzling chemistry or love hate relationship between lead hero and heroine, action, fighting, some crazy revelation that makes you pissed off, hot make out scene, laugh your butt off scene, revelation that makes go" that did not just happen" bawling hysterically like a weirdo while rolling into a ball on the floor sad scene and then tie it all of with a rip your hair out kid of cliffhanger. This isn't that type of book. It's much slower an much more calculated and the reveals aren't really shocking you're prepared for them. Now I'm not saying it's a bad thing there should be more easy going light books out there that  don't make you experience a full spectrum of emotions that makes you're friends things you're losing it.This was a cute, slower paced  book.
Jessie is a good character. She is totally average but that makes her relate-able. You can connect with whats she's thinking and experiencing.I loved her relationship with Caleb. It was a typical soul-mate perfect couple relationship. It's the kind of relationship everyone wants and it was really cute reading it.
Caleb is perfect. Literally. I don't think this guy has a single flaw. Nope I can't think of one. He was perfect. He wasn't a pushover but he wasn't one of those alpha you do as I say males. He was sweet and good looking and mannered and just the perfect gentleman. Like I might consider moving to North Carolina just to meet a guy like Caleb. He was totally great.
Amber was probably my favorite character after Caleb. This girl was too funny. She's that one friend that can make any situation awkward or any conversation just weird. She's that girl that pretends to be tough just to avoid stupid people. She was a great friend and I loved how she handled things with a sense of humor.
Go check out this light read it's great for people who like a good paranormal romance.

Inescapable (The Premonition 1) by Amy A. Bartol

Title: Inescapable (The Premonition 1)
Author: Amy A. Bartol
Published: August 8th, 2011 by CreateSpace
Number of Pages: 392

Blurb from Goodreads: My name is Evie Claremont and this was to be the making of me--my freshman year of college. I had been hoping that once I had arrived on Crestwood's campus, the nightmare that I've been having would go away. It hasn't.

I may be an inexperienced seventeen-year-old, but I'm grounded...sane. Since meeting sophomore Reed Wellington, however, nothing makes any sense. Whenever he is near, I feel an attraction to him--a magnetic kind of force pulling me towards him. I know what you're thinking...that sounds fairly awesome. Yeah, it would--if he liked me, but Reed acts as if I'm the worst thing that's ever happened to Crestwood...or him. But, get this, for some reason every time I turn around he's there, barging into my life.

What is the secret he is keeping from me? I'm hoping that it is anything but what I expect: that he is not exactly normal...and neither am I. So maybe Crestwood won't be the making of me, but it could be the breaking of me. I have been left to wonder if the dark future my dream is foretelling is...inescapable.

Review:  Okay so I heard a lot about this book. It was constantly stalking my life basically. My friends talked about it kept popping up on my recommendations basically it was everywhere. I however, refused to read this book for the longest time because everyone was talking about the love triangle and whether they're team Russel or Reed. Since words can't describe how much I hate love triangles I refused to read this book until yesterday when I was really bored and this boo popped up again so I decided I'll give it a chance. I mean if you take away the love triangle this is exactly my  type of book. And to be honest I actually really enjoyed reading this book.
Let's start with Evie. She's an easy going, funny, laid back character. It was easy to like her. She was willing to sacrifice herself to save someone she loves and she was willing to suffer so that someone else won't have to. Being honest her selflessness even started to annoy me a bit because she was almost too nice to everyone and by being nice she would either end up hurting herself or Reed.
Reed. I love this guy. I mean in the beginning I wasn't his biggest fan but he really cleaned up his act and changed    by the end of the novel. I was totally in love him. He realizes that he has a job to do and in the very beginning he wasn't the hero that would sacrifice everything for some girl he met literally two hours ago. He grew to love Evie and I think they are perfect for each other.
Okay so now let's move on to the soulmate.  Russel was great he was perfect southern gentleman the type of guy every girl wants but he isn't was Evie wants. I mean let's face it's obvious who she is going to choose. The reader knows it, Evie knows it deep down, honestly I'm betting even Russel knew he was going to get stuck in the friend zone. Frankly, the only person who didn't know she was going to choose Reed was Reed. It's sad I know.
I didn't mind the love triangle here. This was a well executed love triangle. So if you're going to pull one try and do this type of love triangle. It wasn't annoying because the heroine didn't play with the feelings of the male hero's. She more or less made it crystal clear who she wants and she didn't play with their feelings. I give props to the author for pulling that off. It takes skill to be able to show conflict in feelings of the heroine without making it seem like she has a split personality disorder.
The plot was great and in all honesty I didn't know who the villain was until it was actually revealed and even then it was a shock.
This is great book that I would recommend to fans of paranormal romance. Go get this book you wont regret it even if you're a love triangle hater like me.

Thank goodness for the future king of Velesi that he has Phoris, Alorn and Mellis to cover his royal back.

Welcome to Velesi, a realm existing alongside our own with their own rules, their own players and their own way of life.

Review: Okay so I've waited forever for this book to come out and I really really loved the first book. However, I'm not sure how I feel about this book. It's a love hate relationship with this book that's mostly love but still part hate.
Okay so let's do the love part first. I loved most of this book. The supporting characters were  amazing. Julia, Cessa and Mellis were probably my favorite characters in the book. Lily stepped it up in this book as well. She still has that rebellious streak to her but she makes wise decisions( well most of the time she does.) I loved the action in this book is was written in an amazing way that had me feeling like I was out there fighting along the characters.
The plot was great. There were so many twists and turns and some many shocking reveals that I was gasping for most of the reading.
Tharin needs his own paragraph. Some of the things he did  were really stupid. I'm talking like someone slap this guy with a frying pan stupid.Like I get it he had good intentions but the way about executing it was really stupid and I just wanted to slap him sometimes. Other than that he was great. I loved how protective he was of Lily and he was willing to bend a little on her part. He had a great relationship with his cousins and brother. However when it came to Kalis he was an idiot. Kalis... boy don't even  get me started on her. I don't know what she's panning and if she is even planning anything maybe she isn't, I don't know but she needs to step the hell away from Thorin. She kept on causing issues between Lily and Thorin and I just want them to be together and make up and be happy.
Now on to the few things I didn't like. A lot of the conflict in this book especially between Thorin and Lily was caused by misunderstanding. I mean really can these two communicate and avoid all the drama? Like I just wanted to reach in and shake the characters at times and be like" Girl snap out of it and go talk to him!!!" yeah some parts in this book brought my violent side out.
However, in the end this was a great sequel( even if it has an ending that makes me want to tear my hair out.) Definitely go and pick up this book. And if you didn't read the drifting then get your butts online and get it ASAP.

A gripping tale of unbounded love and ancient power, The Light of Asteria will take you on an epic adventure filled with war, treachery, and demons, as well as unimaginable delights.

Review:  I read this story a while ago and never bothered to write a review so when I re-read it today I remembered just how much  I love this story and just how beautifully written it is. For me this was the ideally written story. We have a great heroine, a prince charming type of hero and a love story that just makes your heart melt.
Nora is definitely one of my favorite heroines. She is so pure and selfless and just loving. There are heroines that question everything and have a double motive for everything. That's not Nora. Nora's only intent is to protect those she loves. It was great to see how she was willing to do anything to avoid conflict and how willing she was to own and attempt to fix her own mistakes. Another thing I loved about her is that she was a strong personality but she wasn't the heroine that opposed the male hero in everything he says. I mean sure we want to strong female  but not to the point where the heroine makes a big deal out of anything the male hero says. That's why I loved Nora she was willing to bend and let Gavin have his way realizing he had a bit of an alpha personality. That doesn't mean she's weak it just mean she loves him so much she wants to avoid conflict.  I loved everything about Nora she was great.
Gavin was such a gentleman and he was so sweet and so understanding and he was just great in every single way. I mean sure he was a bit  bossy at times and he did make some mistakes but Nora was the only thing that mattered to him. For her he would move mountains. He was great for Nora in every way. Now that means a lot because Nora is one of those perfect girls that are like angels incarnate so it means a lot for me to say that Gavin without a doubt deserved her.
The best part of this book was the love between Nora and Gavin. It was just so real and pure and selfless and just perfectly written. You could feel how much they mean to each other and it was great seeing everyone else in  the clan realize how rare and perfect their love is.
I loved all of the side minor characters. They were supportive and so important to the story that without them I'm pretty sure this book wouldn't be half as good. Let me just tell you if I ever met Rena I would like give her the biggest bear hug because she was such a great friend to Nora.
So in short go get this book you won't regret it for a moment.

  I give this book

Dark Seraphine (Seraphine Trilogy 1) by KaSonndra Leigh

Title: Dark Seraphine ( Seraphine Trilogy 1)
Author: KaSonndra Leigh
Published: October 21, 2012 by Createspace
Number of Pages: 230

Blurb from Goodreads: "Mom always says the angels walk among us. She forgot to tell me that sometimes they're not all fluffy and nice."

Seventeen-year-old Caleb Wood has seen people he calls the walkers since he was a baby. It didn't take long for him to realize something…no one can see these strangers but him. They never stuck around or tried to touch him. And they never said a word. That was until one day on the first day of class in his senior year when an incredibly gorgeous girl strolls into his life…and things are never the same again.

Soon Caleb realizes he has stepped into the middle of a growing conflict between two ancient groups. And his ability to see the invisible ones, the half-breeds that want to modify the human race, just might be the only hope both he and the mysterious, but infuriating, Gia, have of making it out alive.

Review: Before I start writing this review let me just says thanks to KaSonndra for  giving me the chance to read her book in exchange for an honest review. Also I would like to say thanks to the light people in my town for getting my power back in only a few days after Sandy. I only lost power for a few days compared to people who lost much more than power. Otherwise I would be reading by the candlelight and well not reviewing anything.
Okay so the blurb makes you think this book is going to be about angels and I guessed you could argue that in some messed up way it is about angels since blah blah blah...I'm just going to say this book is not about angles makes it so much easier than trying to clarify the plot and having the risk of spoilers. The plot in this book is very involved so I don't even think I'm going to talk to much about it.
Our hero and notice I say here, it's a guy!!!! I know most books are written from a girls perspective and honestly I have no idea why but reading from a guys perspective was like the greatest thing ever. Well it is for a girl anyway. It's like getting inside information on everything. Okay so onto Caleb himself. He was a pretty funny guy and some of the things going through his head were pretty hilarious. He is a but clueless when it comes to girls but then again let's face it most guys are. I loved the fact that he was honest and totally loyal to his friend. I loved how he was so willing to fight for Gia. Gia kind of annoyed me a bit. She palyed hot and cold a lot. Although I totally get why she did it. What I loved about her was how willing she was to sacrifice herself just so Caleb could live. This book isn't really heavy on the romance side even though the romance was the drive behind some of the events.
The plot. Definitely great part of this novel. Unfortunately, I can't really talk about because it's kind of spoilery. Also it has sort of a  cliffhanger. So I'll leave you with this: Who is the Dark Seraphine?

   I give this book
